Game on for Scots Mitsu team 10 | 07 | 2014

SCOTS MITSUBISHI DEALERS have deemed the annual Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace, which saw record crowds, a huge success.

More than 30,000 visitors attended the weekend event in Perthshire, and while features included the Queen’s Baton relay, cookery demonstrations, and gun dog competitions, one of the main highlights was the Mitsubishi off-road course (pictured).

"It went very well," Alister Scott, dealer principal at Adam Purves Mitsubishi in Galashiels, said. "It was a little hampered by the weather early on in the event but it brightened up.

"We got some good leads and were able to speak to lots of existing customers. The off-road course went down a treat. We had a good amount of people who did the off-road course and then came over to us.

"The best thing about the Game Fair is it attracts people from all over. We saw people from Dumfries & Galloway, the Western Isles, and the Borders and have sold cars as a result."

In all, six Mitsubishi dealers attended the event, including Station Garage in Torphins and Aberdeen and Autoecosse in Dundee.

"It was busy again," Stuart Smillie, sales manager at Fife Mitsubishi, explained. "This is my seventh year at the Game Fair and it’s great because customers can see the cars at the show and it’s a more relaxed environment with no pressure to buy."

And Michael Deans, sales manager at Tweedmouth Service Station said: "It was a very good weekend. The stand was busy and the off-road course was really popular. I’ve even sold a car from it already!"
