Drive builds towards CarStore opening  12 | 11 | 2013

WORK ON THE NEW Peter Vardy CarStore at Braehead in south-west Glasgow is nearing completion. The rapidly-expanding car retailer’s enormous new facility for quality pre-owned cars will cover six acres, stretching across 70,000sq/ft. It is due to open next month and will be the Group’s 11th retail site in Scotland.

Work on the site, which has lasted 14 weeks, has all but been completed, on time and on schedule, by Glasgow-based construction business, CBC Ltd.

“We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Peter Vardy Limited, which is one of Scotland’s most exciting and fastest-growing motor retailers," CBC managing director, James McAlpine, said.

“We believe our client, and the Scottish public, will be impressed with the standard of work carried-out at the CarStore and we wish Peter and his team many years of happy and prosperous trading on the Hillington site.

The work, and the CarStore's imminent opening, was also praised by Peter Vardy's chief executive.

“We are very pleased with our state-of-the-art CarStore and can’t wait for December to get trading," Peter Vardy said. "We are also very grateful to CBC for their expertise in providing us with a first rate facility.

“The CarStore is designed to be a destination dealership, where people can take their time in comfortable surroundings to find the car of their dreams.”

In the new CarStore, car buyers will be able to choose from more than 400 cars, all displayed indoors in a heated showroom and priced realistically at between £2999 and £29,999.
