Arnold expands GTG training 09 | 07 | 2013

SCOTS CAR GIANT ARNOLD CLARK has opened its third GTG training centre following a £10 million investment in Wolverhampton.

The new 58,000sq/ft facility joins the company's existing training sites in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The new centre — which includes a conference facility for 250 delegates, a fork lift training centre, 17 classrooms, on-site restaurant and driver training instructors — has a radical approach to diversified training courses from one centralised base.

The GTG West Midlands is split into two dedicated sections: there's a fully operational technical department that caters for every aspect of automotive and transport training, plus a business section offering a wide range of courses that include Business Skills, Computer and IT skills and Health & Safety.

“We are delighted with the response which we have had from the academic, business and civic communities to the opening of our new Training Academy in Wolverhampton," David Scott, chief executive of GTG Training, said.

"I think it important to note we are actively recruiting subject matter training experts from this area to train the people from this area in the essential business skills which will give this area the competitive edge which its businesses need to prosper in challenging times."
