Toyota confirms new Land Cruiser price 18 | 01 | 2012

TOYOTA HAS CONFIRMED its new 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 will cost £62,285 when it goes on sale on March 1. Only one model will be offered, the V8 4.5-litre turbodiesel.

The powerful engine has been revised to comply with Euro 5 standards, with a new diesel particulate filter fitted. The result is not only a cleaner engine, but also improved fuel efficiency.

The Land Cruiser also has a new look, thanks to revised headlamps with LED daytime running lights, chrome side mouldings and new rear lights.

The big 4x4 also gets a new-shape front bumper: its sharply-trimmed lower section means it now has an even better off-road approach angle.

There are changes too inside the cabin. Not only do the front seats have a cooling function in addition to built-in heaters, but the 40:20:40 rear seats can now slide back and forward independently, adding to the car's versatility.

The centre section also folds to form an armrest for the two backseat passengers.

The updated model also gets a new audio panel, colour TFT multi-function display and chrome-plated details.

And if you do actually take your Land Cruiser offroad, you'll be able to rely on the car's four cameras which work in conjunction with Multi-Terrain Select to show views of the front, rear and sides of the car highlighting blind spots and showing hidden obstacles.

The clever system also projects the predicted path of the tyres and length and width lines assist the driver to judge distances.
