THE SHORTLIST FOR the European Car of the Year, drawn up by a jury of 58 judges from 22 countries, has been released.

The seven, which are in contention for the prestigious award which will be announced on the opening day of the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of March, are:

Range Rover Evoque

Fiat Panda

Ford Focus

Vauxhall Ampera

Toyota Yaris

Citroen DS5
