New Audi RS5 from £58,725 20 | 02 | 2012

AUDI'S NEW RS5 will start at £58,725 when it enter Scottish showrooms in April. Powered by its 444bhp V8 engine, the RS5 will cover the 0-62mph sprint in just 4.5secs, an improvement on 0.1s on the previous model.

As with most modern-day performance cars, it's electronically restricted to 155mph, but that can be bypassed if you opt for the de-restrictor. The result is 174mph.

Rather amazingly, despite the increase in performance, fuel economy has also been improved, though don't hold your breath. The combined figure is now 26.9mpg, up from 26.2!

The exterior of the car now gets wraparound LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights, more pronounced bonnet styling and a revised front grille. There's also new front and rear bumper designs.

The car's interior now benefits from Bluetooth, cruise control (laser guided at extra cost), sat-nav and iPod connectivity come as standard.

Audi’s Sport Package — which includes 20in rotor design titanium-look alloys, a sports exhaust system and Audi’s dynamic ride control — is a £2250 option.
