Mini reveals sub-£20k Clubman City 01 | 08 | 2018

    MINI HAS UNVEILED a new trim for its Clubman range; the City spec is targeted at fleet and business buyers, and is available to order now at Scottish dealers priced from £19,995. (Related: Scots Mini dealer named No1 in UK)

    The new sub-£20k entry-level model — which is more attractive offering in terms of benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax for business users than the £21,085 1.5 Cooper — includes  rear parking sensors, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and satnav as standard.

    The Mini Clubman City — complete with its trademark split rear doors — comes with 16in Revolite Spoke Wheels as standard with 17in Silver Net Spoke or 17in Silver Vent Spoke available as a free upgrade, or 17in Black Net Spoke as a paid for option. Additionally, all models can be specified with run flat tyres as an additional upgrade. (Related: First teasers for Mini electric)

    On the 1.5-litre three-cylinder 116bhp diesel-powered model, mated to an automatic gearbox, CO2 emissions are just 109g/km. The diesel model’s emissions are the lowest of any car in the Clubman range. Emissions rise to 130g/km and 131g/km on the 1.5-litre 102bhp petrol automatic and manual versions respectively.

    Fuel consumption figures for the two petrol models are listed 49.6mpg and 48.7mpg respectively, with the diesel turning 68.9mpg.

    “We’re well aware that many fleets operate strict CO2 limits,” Steve Roberts, Mini’s head of corporate sales, said, “but also need to offer drivers vehicles that are versatile and suitable for everyday life. The Clubman, one of the brand’s most versatile vehicles, offers all of these benefits alongside a great standard specification for the corporate market.”
