Scots group No1 in UK for Mazda 27 | 05 | 2014

HIGHLAND CAR DEALERSHIP group, Macrae & Dick, has been named as Mazda's top UK franchise in the national Mazda Dealer League.

The Inverness dealership retained the top position by having a high score across a variety of key business metrics, including excellence in customer service.

The Mazda Dealer League allows Mazda UK to assess each dealer’s overall performance using a number of factors including: sales v objectives, sales/aftersales CSI, service loyalty, and dealer market share.

Macrae & Dick Mazda believes the key to its success has been the aftersales side of the business where its focus is on customer retention and communication along with a strong management team.

It also met the aftersales standards by ensuring all their customers’ digital service records are kept up-to-date, thus enabling them to exceed the parts purchased targets.

The sales team contributed by being above the national market share in territory with 2.45%, whereby Mazda UK’s national market share is 1.45%.  Macrae & Dick identified the reason for this as being the high level of customer service and referrals from customers’ friends and family.

One major change for the business in the period is that the service reception is now located in the main showroom.

"We have a very strong and enthusiastic team within Mazda," Andrew Grzesinski, Macrae & Dick group managing director, said. "They all share the vision of growing the business further and delivering an outstanding customer experience in everything we do.  I am very proud of the team in Inverness, especially after finishing No. 1 nationally in the Mazda network."

Established in 1878 Macrae & Dick, operates dealerships in Inverness, Elgin, Aberdeen, Perth and Stirling, employing more than 450 people within the company.  It also represents franchises for Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Toyota and Mazda: in addition, under the Menzies brand in Stirling, it represents BMW and Mini.
