SCOTLAND'S MOST PIONEERING young car group, Peter Vardy, has joined forces with another powerful force in Scotland, Scottish Rugby.

On the even of Saturday's Calcutta Cup clash against England at Murrayfield in the Six Nations Championship, Peter Vardy confirmed it is Scottish Rugby's new vehicle partner. The new deal is for three years, and will cover next year's Rugby World Cup.

The first presence Peter Vardy will have with Scottish Rugby will be at the Calcutta Cup match, where a selection of vehicles will be on display behind the east stand and near the ticket centre. Land Rover, Jaguar, BMW, Mini and Vauxhall models, will all be on display, and will then become a permanent fixture on international match days.

When France come to Murrayfield on March 8, Peter Vardy will run a kicking competition, when fans will be given the opportunity to win a Vauxhall Cascada for a year.

“We’re excited to be joining Scottish Rugby on their journey to the World Cup in 2015 and beyond," CEO, Peter Vardy, said.

“We are a young Scottish business, so for us this is a fantastic opportunity to drive our business further and support Scotland’s national rugby team and Scottish Rugby staff throughout the country.

“One of Scottish Rugby’s values is community engagement, which is at the core of our business.  Scottish Rugby’s hard work in ensuring that rugby is a sport for all the family both on and off the pitch was something that attracted us to the partnership.
