Seat cuts prices on Toledo 31 | 10 | 2013

SEAT DEALERS IN SCOTLAND have slashed £2500 off the price of the Toledo five-door hatchback range, and further supplemented the offer by adding £1000 of extra equipment to the SE model.

The offers — which run through to the end of 2013 — mean the range now starts at £10,000, for the Toledo E 1.2 12V. The range-topping Toledo SE 1.6 TDI Ecomotive now costs £15,340.

The S-spec Toledo models now get an extra £430 of kit, including a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, rear electric windows, rear parking sensors and a centre-rear headrest.

SE cars are further loaded with new equipment, including the Media System 2.2 — formerly a £700 option — which includes a colour touch-screen system and satnav, plus DAB digital radio, rear parking sensors and dark-tinted rear windows. The total value of the extra pack is £1080.

Seat has also added a number of further improvements across its range for 2014 models.

The range-topping Leon FR TDI 184 PS now gets a DSG transmission option, which only slightly raises the CO2 rating but retains the manual’s 0-62mph time of 7.5secs.

The Mii city car gets a DAB digital radio and a Seat Sound premium audio system, which includes a boot-mounted subwoofer. The Seat Ibiza also now gets a DAB radio.

In September, Seat UK celebrated its best ever month for sales, with 8498 new car registrations.
