Skoda green Spaceback prices 06 | 11 | 2013

SKODA HAS CONFIRMED prices for its Greenline versions of its new Rapid and Rapid Spaceback models.

While the Rapid in standard form will start at £17,535, the Rapid Spaceback will be priced from £17,195 when they go on sale in Scottish dealerships in January.

Both models are powered by Skoda's 1.6-litre TDI CR 90PS DPF diesel engine linked to a five-speed manual transmission. The result is emissions of just 99g/km and an official combined cycle fuel economy of 74.3mpg.

With BIK values of just 11% the pair are expected to prove popular with fleet and corporate customers. Running costs are further reduced because each is in VED Band A.

Both cars come with 15in ‘Carme’ alloys with low rolling resistance tyres, front fog lights and sunset glass. Inside there is a height-adjustable driver’s seat, air-conditioning and a Maxi-DOT trip computer.

The Rapid Spaceback broadens the Rapid’s range in the compact family hatchback segment. With its class-leading 415-litre boot, it sets new segment standards for interior space and is available with a number of personalisation options that allow buyers to tailor the car to their own tastes.
