JLR creates 800 new jobs  14 | 01 | 2013

JAGUAR LAND ROVER is to create up to 800 new jobs at its Solihull plant. Today's confirmation comes just days after Honda announced it was cutting 800 jobs at its Swindon plant.

The news from JLR also coincides with the brand gearing up for the introduction of new models in 2013, including the all-new F-type (pictured).

It also comes in the wake of the company reporting its best-ever global sales performance, with retail sales up 30% in 2012.

JLR benefitted from strong market performances from the UK, the US and China, which is now the brand’s largest market with sales up by 70%.

More than 200 of the new jobs are supported by the government’s Regional Growth Fund.
