Lambo displays £2.7m roadster 05 | 12 | 2013

LAMBORGHINI HAS DISPLAYED its new £2.7 million Veneno roadster on the Italian naval aircraft carrier, Nave Cavour, while docked in Abu Dhabi's Mina Zayed port.

Production of the 220mph, 750bhp V12 open top Veneno is being restricted to just nine models: only three Veneno coupe models were built.

The exclusive “Italian evening” — attended by VIPs, media and authorities — was addressed by Stephan Winkelmann, president and chief executive of Lamborghini.

“The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is one of the world's most exclusive cars with the most extraordinary performance," Winkelmann said.

"We are honoured that Lamborghini was chosen to represent the Italian car industry in the UAE, as a perfect example of iconic Italian super sports cars, and that we have the opportunity to show the Veneno Roadster for the first time in Abu Dhabi.

"Lamborghini has an extremely strong following in the region for its super sports cars, with the Middle East one of our largest markets in the world."

And you'll never guess what Lamborghini is making a big play of, for a car which costs £2.7m? Each Veneno customer gets to individualise the colour of their Veneno Roadster to suit their personal preference. Now that's a bargain!
