Scots collect Jaguar F-Type  17 | 04 | 2013

SCOTTISH JAGUAR DEALERS will join others from across the rest of the UK to collect their F-Type demonstrators at an event at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry tomorrow (watch Damian Lewis deliver the first Jaguar F-Type).

A convoy of all 59 dealers and their new F-Type roadsters will then be led by a classic E-Type along the A444.

Designed and engineered in Coventry, and built at the new home of Jaguar manufacturing in Castle Bromwich, Jaguar’s all-new two-seater sports car is one of the most highly-anticipated cars of the year.

Jaguar dealers have already reported significant advance orders for the long-awaited model, and while that will ensure exclusivity for the F-Type, it’s also likely to frustrate other genuine Jaguar buyers.

    The new F-Type starts at £58,520 for the 338bhp V6 model, while the 380hp V6S is priced from £67,520, with the 495hp Jaguar F-Type V8S costing £79,985.

“Ever since Jaguar unveiled the F-Type at the Paris Motor Show last September, enthusiasts all over the UK have been anticipating their first encounter with this exciting new sports car,” Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar UK managing director, said.

“Jaguar is synonymous with Coventry, so it is fitting that we conduct the ceremonial handover to the dealer network in the grounds of one of this great City’s landmarks.”
