Porsche plans 'baby supercar' 07 | 11 | 2012

PORSCHE IS PLANNING new model which is set to go head-to-head with the Ferrari 458 Italia. Porsche's new small mid-engined supercar is expected to cost around £250,000.

With the McLaren's MP4-12C also listed as one of its targets, the new Porsche model will be positioned above the 911 range.

Though volumes would obviously be small, the new baby supercar would still play an important part in Porsche's plans to grow sales globally.

The next new Porsche set to enter the market will be the compact five-seat SUV, branded the Macan, next year.
