Audis to get new look 08 | 11 | 2012

AUDI CARS OF the future are expected to look significantly different to the current models on sale if head of design Wolfgang Egger has his way.

Egger has announced something of a shift in design strategy for Audi which will see it focus heavily on advanced technology.

The new approach, which is designed to provide greater differentiation to the company’s model range, has already been seen in the Crosslane CoupĂ© concept (pictured) shown at the Paris Motor Show in September.

“Good design must always express a vision," Egger, who overseas design functions at Audi’s main design studios in Ingolstadt, said. "We need something new without breaking from tradition."

It's expected the first sight of the new approach will be seen in the next generation of the Q range. These are also likely to carry a new more three-dimensional version of Audi’s trademark trapezoidal grille.
