Kia plans 'hot' Cee'd 19 | 03 | 2012

KIA IS SET TO introduce a warm hatch version of the all-new Kia Cee’d, according to a 'leaked' official design sketch of this three-door version. The new Cee'd is set to go on sale across Scotland in 12 to 18 months.

It's expected the new three-door will be powered by the same 183bhp, 1.6-litre turbocharged engine as found in the Hyundai Veloster Turbo.

The Kia's sister car, the Hyundai i30, is also set to incorporate a new hot-hatch version in its range.

“We have talked about hot hatches and are considering versions," Hyundai’s European boss Allan Rushforth said, "not only with more performance, but dynamic improvements to ride and handling, too.”
