VW reveals five-door up! 24 | 01 | 2012

HOT ON THE HEELS of the success of the three-door Volkswagen up!, the German giant has released these first photos (see more official photos) of the new five-door model.

Though not expected to go on sale at Scottish dealerships until much later this year, the five-door is expected to cost around £400 more than equivalent three-door cars.

If that is the case, prices should start around £9400, though we'll have to wait till much closer to the on-sale date before we get confirmation.

Three engine variants — as is the case with the three-door — are expected to be available: two 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol units as well as a BlueMotion Technology version. Expect there to be three trim levels to choose from.
