    MASERATI HAS UNVEILED the new Sport, the model replaces its best-selling GranTurismo S. Powered by a revised, 454bhp 4.7-litre V8 engine, Maserati promises it will be capable of sub-5.0sec 0-62mph performance.

    Revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, the Sport gets a revised 454bhp 4.7-litre V8 engine, it will also be available with the choice of two transmissions.

    Buyers will have the choice of the standard gearbox is a six-speed torque converter automatic, or an optional six-speed sequential manual transaxle ’box complete with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

    External design tweaks aimed at setting it apart from the outgoing S include a restyled front bumper, new front headlights and LED daytime running lights. At the rear, the Sport gets new lights, plus additional dark trim.

    Inside the cabin, the front seats and steering wheel have been given a new look.

    Price? Expect it to be around £90k when it arrives in Scotland in the autumn.
