Renault launches Clio Gordini 20 | 07 | 2011

JUST DAYS AFTER it unveiled the latest Renault Wind, the French manufacturer has revealed its latest Gordini-badged model, the Renault Clio Gordini. Powered by its 126bhp 1.6-litre engine, or 104bhp 1.5-litre diesel unit — both are available in either three and five-door bodystyles — the car replaces the Clio GT.

External distinguishing signs of the new Gordini include the beefier black 16-inch Turini alloys, Glacier white mirror housings, ‘Gordini Series’ badging on the car's sides and the unmissable twin white stripes on the bonnet, boot and the roof. The car also gets a twin exhaust pipe, front splitter, rear spoiler and additional fog lights.

Inside the cabin there's a leather-trimmed steering wheel, sports pedals, carpet mats with Gordini badges and Gordini-branded upholstery.

The new Renault Clio Gordini — which is available now, priced from £14,000 for petrol and £14,950 for the diesel, from Renault's Scottish dealership network — also includes sat-nav, cruise control, climate control and rain sensors as standard.
