Bogie dominates Border Counties Rallyposted in SRC17 | 03 | 2012

TRIPLE SCOTTISH RALLY champ David Bogie continued his domination of the sport in Scotland when he won the second round of the Scottish Championship in Jedburgh.

The 24-year-old from Dumfries, partnered by Hawick co-driver Kevin Rae in their Mitsubishi Evo IX, won all five stages of the Border Counties Rally.

"It was really just one of those days when everything worked perfectly for us," Bogie, who won the corresponding event 12 months ago and this year cruised to a 1min 50secs win, admitted today.

"The Borders is traditionally one of the toughest events of the year, but thankfully we never put a foot wrong all day. It's a great way to start the season."

Bogie, who also won the British Rally Championship last year, is bidding for a fourth straight Scottish title. He won the opening round in Inverness last month.

Trailing behind Bogie, Kirtlebridge's Mike Falkner brought his Mitsubishi home in second place, just 9.0s ahead of Ireland's Jonny Greer.
