Vettel stays at Red Bullposted in F114 | 03 | 2011

WORLD CHAMP Sebastian Vettel will remain with Red Bull until the end of the 204 season. The 24-year-old's decision to stay with the Milton Keynes-based team scorches any rumours of the German switching to Ferrari — or even Mercedes GP — in the next three years.

Talk of the switch had gathered momentum on the back of Vettel's current Red Bull contract running out at the end of this season. But it's now understood he has agreed terms which will see him definitely stay until the end of 2014.

"It was in mutual agreement that we extended Sebastian's contract to 2014", Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko explained. "Both sides wanted to continue the partnership, so it was no big issue."

It's understood the team will wait until the new season gets underway before it opens discussions with its other driver, Aussie Mark Webber, about his future.
