Launch date for 200mph TVR 05 | 06 | 2017

TVR WILL MARK its return when it unveils its all-new 400+bhp 5.0-litre V8, 200mph model at the Goodwood Revival in September. The new two-seater will be the company’s first new model since the Sagaris in 2005. (Related: New TVR set to be built in Wales)

The teaser image released today by TVR shows a small glance down one of the car’s flanks. Importantly, it reveals side exit exhausts and doors with plenty of aggressive looking cuts and shapes worked into them.

Created in conjunction with Gordon Murray Design, the 1200kg car promises 200mph performance and 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds.

TVR says the Launch Edition versions will be price at under £90,000.

“We are incredibly excited to be unveiling the new car at the Goodwood Revival,” Les Edgar, chairman of TVR, said. It’s the first time a global launch of a new car has occurred at the event, and it seems an entirely appropriate place for us to do it, with the marque’s motorsport heritage and an enthusiastic audience of dedicated car fans – and in our 70th anniversary year.

“After a series of secret private viewings organised for the benefit of existing customers for the new car, we know that we have a sure-fire hit on our hands, and very much look forward to seeing the public reaction in September.”

TVR has held back a small allocation of the 500 Launch Edition cars for the public unveiling, so will soon close the order book, before re-opening it on the September 8, the day the car will make its global debut at Goodwood.
