Peter Vardy's £8m JLR site set to open 25 | 07 | 2016

SCOTLAND’S MOST INNOVATIVE car dealership group, Peter Vardy, will receive the keys to its new £8 million state-of-the-art Jaguar Land Rover centre in Aberdeen on Friday. The dealership will open to the public a week later on Saturday, August 8.

The new dealership in Wellington Road is one of the first custom-built Jaguar Land Rover sites to adopt a brand new look and feel that places great emphasis on customer service and luxury.

The building is on two floors, ground and mezzanine, linked by escalators, with more than 100 new and approved used vehicles on site. The facility also has 26 ramps for servicing vehicles.

Customers will be able to enjoy two business lounges with in-house barista and chef, creating a relaxing and welcoming environment for all visitors. There is also a Kids’ Play area.

Three customer handover bays are designed to make the experience of buying a Jaguar Land Rover product almost as exciting as owning one.

The new facility has been built by Ogilvie Construction, which last year completed the nearby Porsche Centre Aberdeen.

“We are very excited by getting the keys to what promises to be a stunning new JLR facility,” Peter Vardy, chief executive of the fast-growing Scotland-wide automotive retailing group, said. “We simply cannot wait for opening day on August 8.”

Duncan Ogilvie, Chief Executive, Ogilvie Group, said: “We are putting the final touches on this state-of-the-art facility for Peter Vardy, which has been built to a high quality specification and creates a premium experience that customers expect from a brand as prestigious as Jaguar Land Rover.”

Peter Vardy Group operates six Vauxhall volume dealerships in Aberdeen, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Motherwell and Dalgety Bay.

In addition, it operates five prestige dealerships selling Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche or BMW-Mini vehicles as well as Scotland’s biggest indoor used car showroom, CarStore, at Hillington, Glasgow. Another CarStore supermarket is set to open in Dundee.
