Arnold Clark offers 250 apprenticeships 29 | 04 | 2016

SCOTS CAR GIANT Arnold Clark is offering 250 new apprentices the opportunity to join the dealer group this summer.

The apprenticeships offer an opportunity for anyone aged 16 to 19 years old looking for a career and recognised qualification in the motor industry.

On-the-job training will be provided and apprentices will attend one of Arnold Clark’s GTG Training centres.

“I applied for an apprenticeship with GTG as it’s a great way to learn, as I have always been really interested in working with cars,” Coral McKissack (pictured), a first year apprentice light vehicle technician at Arnold Clark Volkswagen in Glasgow, said

“I have been assigned my own mentor who I work closely with, but I also shadow the other technicians which allows me the opportunity to be involved in working with different people on many different tasks and specialisms.

“I hope that in five years I am still working for Arnold Clark as a fully qualified technician, and mentoring new apprentices who are in the position I once was.

“I would then have the chance to share my knowledge and experience with them and contribute to them achieving their apprenticeship qualification.”

Arnold Clark is a previous winner of the Glasgow Business Awards Modern Apprenticeship Employer of the Year.
