Mercedes plans C450 AMG Sport 23 | 04 | 2014

MERCEDES IS SET to launch a new performance-orientated C450 AMG Sport, this extending its new C-class line-up further.

Due to enter Mercedes' Scottish showrooms next year, the new model will bridge the gap between the C400 and upcoming C63 AMG (pictured).

Powered by a tuned version of Mercedes' twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine, it's believed output will rise from the standard 333bhp to 367bhp.

And whereas the C63 AMG is available as rear-wheel drive only, the new C450 AMG Sport will also be offered with Mercedes' 4Matic four-wheel drive.
