Hottest Mini Countryman unveiled 07 | 03 | 2012

    THIS IS THE HOTTEST version of the Mini Countryman, the John Cooper Works. Capable of hitting 60mph from standstill in 7.0secs, its 215bhp 1.6-litre turbo powerplant will accelerate on to 140mph.

    Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the car will benefit from a less aggressive approach to its styling and comfort.

    The sports suspension, which reduces the ride height by 10mm, isn’t as firm as other JCWs, and the car runs on unique 18in alloy wheels as standard. And it's also is the first JCW to have the option of an automatic gearbox option.

    Sales of the Mini Countryman JCW will start across Scotland in September. With fuel figures of 39.2mpg (auto 35.3mpg) and CO2 figures of 187g/km (auto 207g/km), prices start at £27,800.
