BMW reveals limited edition M3 20 | 04 | 2012

THIS IS THE new MW M3 Coupe Frozen Silver Edition. Restricted to just 100 examples across the whole of the UK, it's powered by same 4.0-litre V8 as the standard BMW M3.

What sets it apart though is it comes complete with BMW’s Competition Pack, including a suspension which has been lowered by 10mm. It also gets a seven-speed M-DCT transmission which lowers the car’s 0-62mph time from 4.8 to 4.6 seconds.

And just for good measure, the pack also comes with an extra setting for additional firmness on the electronically-controlled dampers when in Sport mode. There's also a slightly altered stability control system.

Finished in ‘Frozen Silver’, the limited edition M3 also gets dark chrome exhaust tailpipes, front grilles and side-vents which have been added to BMW’s Shadowline trim. It's also fitted with contrasting matt black 19in light-weight Competition alloys.

Park yourself behind the M3's Alcantara steering wheel — in the two-tone black and grey leather seats — and check out the carbonfibre touches to the dashboard, door inserts and centre console.

Oh, and did I mention there's a chequered flag inlay in the centre of the steering wheel, the same as you can find in the exclusive M3 GTS.

Price? Well when it goes on sale across Scotland in June, the BMW M3 Coupe Frozen Silver Edition can be yours for £58,720: that's a £4000 increase over a standard M3 Coupe ... but it includes an extra £9000 of goodies.
