Fiat 500byGucci cabrio unveiled 08 | 09 | 2011

FIAT HAS LAUNCHED the perfect accessory to match your Gucci loafers, high heels, handbag, leather jacket, jeans and belts … the 500byGucci cabriolet.

Encouraged by the — I have to say, staggering — 3000 worldwide pre-orders it has received for the hard-top version, the cabrio will go on sale later this month. The soft-top has been fitted with an electrically operated full-length soft-top.

Priced from £17,800 – more than £3000 more than the cheapest hard-top variant — the cabrio has been customised by Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini in collaboration with Centro Stile Fiat.

The 500byGucci will be available in just two body colours: white with glitter and brushed chrome-plated elements, and black with glitter and shiny chrome-plated accents.

The soft-top is black on both versions, with the characteristic green-red-green Gucci web pattern printed lengthwise.

As you would expect, the Fiat 500byGucci comes worth its own unmistakeable collection of options as standard, including Gucci signatures in italics on the tailgate and door pillars, hub cabs sporting a ‘double G’ logo, plus 16in alloys.

Inside the Gucci theme continues on the seats, gearbox, key cover, mats, and seat belts.

And just how tasteful the interior finishings are, I'll leave you to decide yourself, but you get a velvet-effect finish on the radio panel, two-tone leather seats and the passenger compartment is finished with satin and polished chrome-plated elements.
