BMW reveals new 1-series concept 09 | 09 | 2011

BMW AND PERFORMANCE have always gone hand-in-hand, so perhaps it should come as no surprise that the German manufacturer has revealed a Performance concept car based on its new 1-series

Conceived in conjunction with the Munich company’s M division to highlight BMW’s range of enhanced kit, it will sit alongside the production version of BMW’s new 1-series at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show.

In addition to its aggressive bodykit, striped decals, carbonfibre wing mirror detailing and a rear diffuser, the concept features 19in alloys, uprated suspension and brakes and tweaked exhaust parts.

And as you'd expect, the interior gas a fair bit of bling to, in the shape of yellow trim highlights, carbonfibre detailing, custom floor mats and leather.

BMW Performance power kits are also now available for the BMW 135i and the BMW 335i models. The products include a modified engine management system that increases the maximum output of the 3.0-litre engine by 20bhp to 326bhp.
