THIS IS THE new Abarth Punto Evo esseesse produced by Fiat's famous tuning company. In additition to interior and exterior styling tweaks, the car's performance kit raises the output of the standard turbocharged 1.4-litre engine to 178bhp.

An upgraged ECU, gives the esseesse a 0-60mph sprint time of 7.5sec and a top speed of 134mph; and it'll do 47.1mpg and has a CO2 figure of 142g/km.

The six-speed manual gearbox, including Abarth’s transfer switch to choose between ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, drives the power through the front wheels.

The esseesse kit adds a premium of £3000 to the standard car’s £16,852 price tag and is available across Scotland's Fiat dealership network.
