First glimpse of new Lexus concept 30 | 12 | 2011

THIS IS THE FIRST glimpse of the new Lexus LF-LC sports car concept which will make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show next month.

Lexus says the concept “takes the new Lexus design direction one step further”. And there's no denying the car has futuristic styling lines.

The LF-LC also evolves the L-Finesse design language for Lexus’s production cars, seen in its latest more aggressive guise on the new Lexus GS. The styling philosophy will also make it on to next year’s new Lexus IS.

The new car is likely to sit in Lexus' LS range, and will definitely be a coupe. The production car is expected to use a shortened version of the next-generation LS’s platform.

The LS, in turn, will go into production in 2014 and is likely to feature a hi-tech hybrid drivetrain and be badged LC600h.
