Espace set to hit Scotland 01 | 11 | 2010

WHEN RENAULT'S next generation Espace enters its Scottish dealership network in January next year, prices will range from £24,495 and £28,495 for the Grand Espace.

Following the introduction of Euro V legislation, the engine range of the new Espace has been modified, with the 2.0-litre dCi diesel available as either dCi 150 or dCi 175 outputs; the more powerful unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The combined cycle CO2 emissions of the core dCi 150 engine has been reduced by 18g/km from 188g/km to 170g/km.

And not only does the new Espace come with LED technology and a built-in Carminat TomTom live real-time satellite navigation system, but options include an opening tailgate window for £320, bi-xenon directional headlights at £650 and a DVD system with two 16.9-inch screens integrated into the rear of the front headrests for £1,500.

There's also an electronic panoramic sunroof, which will set you back £1300, plus an Initiale Lux pack for £3,500 on the top-of-the-range Grand Espace dCi 175 Auto FAP. The range-topped also comes complete with a multi-functional TunePoint for portable music players, Carminat TomTom western Europe mapping, metallic paint, front parking sensors and full leather upholstery.
