Di Resta sits out Koreaposted in F118 | 10 | 2010

BATHGATE'S PAUL di Resta will fly out to Korea tomorrow, but the 24-year-old knows that for the third Formula One weekend in a row, he won't be driving in Friday's first Free Practice session.

"I'm flying out to Korea tomorrow, to yet another country which I've never visited before," Di Resta, who only returned to Scotland today after clinching his third successive DTM win at Hockenheim yesterday, said, "but as has always been the intention of the team, I won't be driving the Force India car in Friday's practice.

"This is another new circuit on the Formula One calendar and both the drivers will need all the time they can get in the car to get used to the track; and with the circuit being finished so late in the year, that extra time is even more important as the conditions are going to evolve very, very quickly over the race weekend.

"For me though the race weekend will still be a busy one, attending all the driver briefings and contributing to how the team evolves over the weekend. It'll also be interesting in that this will be the first time I've been with a team when it is preparing to race at an all-new track.

"I have the feeling no one — not just at Force India, but right across the paddock — really knows what to expect. The one thing we've all heard is that the facility is meant to be fantastic, so that's going to be exciting. I really can't wait to get out there and see it."
