Russell kicks off Motorpoint conversion 14 | 08 | 2019

SCOTS RUGBY ACE Finn Russell has officially kicked-off Motorpoint’s Conversion Challenge in Glasgow. The 26-year-old fly half visited the UK’s largest independent car retailer in Mount Vernon to launch the company’s interactive outdoor game. (Related: Scots lead UK used car hotspots)

Designed to give rugby fans over the age of 18 the chance to put their kicking skills to the test, everyone visiting Motorpoint will be given one opportunity to successfully convert between the posts in order to be in with a chance of winning a trip to see the Italy v Scotland game in February 2020 in the Guinness Six Nations at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

“We’re extremely grateful to Finn for popping down to help get our Conversion Challenge underway at Motorpoint Glasgow,” Adam Gilmore, general manager of Motorpoint, said. “Everyone really enjoyed having Finn on site and showing us how to kick like a professional.” (Related: Clyde FC gets Motorpoint support)

And Russell, the Racing 92 and Scotland fly-half, is keen for car buyers to give themselves the opportunity to convert their purchase into a fantastic trip to Rome.

“I really enjoyed my time at Motorpoint and the opportunity to help Adam and the team kick-start their Conversion Challenge,” the rugby ace said. “If you like your rugby, then I’d highly recommend getting yourself down to Motorpoint Glasgow with your kicking boots for chance to win what really is a brilliant prize.”

The Motorpoint Conversion Challenge will be available for visitors to use until Saturday, November 2 at Motorpoint Glasgow. The winner will be announced on Sunday, November 3.

Motorpoint, which is located two minutes drive from J3 of the M74 on Hamilton Road in Mount Vernon, stocks more than 500 low mileage, nearly new cars from 30 different manufacturers backed by the Motorpoint Price Pledge.

Launched last year, Motorpoint will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find the same car from a competitor. As an added bonus, it will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.
