2019 Mini Clubman unveiled 17 | 04 | 2019

THIS IS THE newly-revised Mini Clubman. Featuring more kit as standard, a new range of customisation options plus a subtly-reworked exterior, the car is on-sale now at Scottish dealerships. Prices start from £21,200. (Related: Cooper S celebrates Mini's 60th birthday)

The most noticeable changes outside the car include new 16- or 17-inch alloys, Union Jack-branded LED tail lights, updated badging and a reworked grille. Buyers now also have the option of set of glare-free Matrix LED headlights. These automatically adapt their brightness according to traffic conditions.

According to Mini, they give drivers increased headlight range — similar to that of conventional high-beam headlights — while avoiding any dazzle effect for oncoming road users. (Related: Scots Mini dealer named No1 in UK)

Inside the cabin, the standard equipment for the new Clubman includes satnav, Real Time Traffic Information, Apple CarPlay and a 6.5-inch infotainment system. Mini-branded puddling lights, illuminated door handles and customisable ambient lighting are also now standard.

The options list — which allows buyers to seriously personalise their new Clubman — now includes sports seats, adaptive suspension, larger alloys, a head-up display and a premium Harmon Kardon stereo. There’s also the Mini Navigation Plus Pack, which adds a wireless smartphone charger, enhanced Bluetooth and a larger 8.8-inch touchscreen display.

At launch, buyers have the choice from two petrol and one diesel engine. There’s a 134bhp turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol, a 189bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol, plus the 148bhp four-cylinder diesel. Each can be mated to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
