Facelifted Ford Focus leaked 24 | 02 | 2014

THIS IS THE NEW facelifted Fod Focus, leaked days before it's officially unveiled at next month's Geneva Motor Show (see more 'leaked images' of the new facelifted Ford Focus).

Most noticeable is the fact the new Focus adopts Ford's new corporate front end, which features a larger, more prominent front grille inspired by Aston Martin.

You'll also notice the car has a new headlight cluster and bumper design, while the rear-end also gets a slight makeover, most significantly around the rear light cluster.

The major styling changes are interior where, thankfully, the centre console has been updated. From the image, which you can see on our Facebook page, there are now far less buttons, in addition to a larger central infotainment screen.

The facelifted range is expected to retain the current range of engines, though they will benefit from a slight improvements to both CO2 emissions and fuel economy figures.

It's also understood the facelifted Focus will see the introduction of the company's new UK-built 1.5-litre Ecoboost engine to the range.

There are also rumours the new range will include a hybrid version of the Focus, which would pitch it head-to-head against the newly-revealed Volkswagen Golf GTE.

Though the hybrid Focus would take the technology from Ford's plug-in C-Max, such hybrid Focus is still quite some time away in reality.

Next year though will see the arrival of an RS version of the Focus, believed to be powered by a 2.3-litre four-cylinder Ecoboost engine — which already appears in the Mustang — with 330bhp
