Prices revealed for XF Sportbrake 02 | 07 | 2012

JAGUAR HAS CONFIRMED the pricing of its all-new XF Sportbrake which will enter UK showrooms at the end of the year: the range will start at £31,940 and rise to £51,505 (see more official photos of the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake).

The new model will also introduce new variants of the already excellent 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which will be offered in 160 and 197bhp outputs. They will replace the current 187bhp engine.

Depending on spec, both models have a CO2 rating of 135 or 139g/km: fuel economy of both versions is 55.4mpg.

But the saloon’s new 335bhp supercharged V6 petrol unit will not be offered at launch, a 3.0-litre V6 diesel producing either 237 or 271bhp will be.

Standard across the range is the eight-speed automatic gearbox and stop-start which are lifted straight from the saloon. Jaguar claims these changes reduce emissions by up to 6%.

Not surprisingly, trim grades are the same as the current XF saloon: SE Business, Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury and Portfolio.

Oh, and just for good measure, if you're not after the new XF Sportbrake, you'll be pleased to learn the XFR saloon can now be specified with a Speed Pack. Equipped with revised engine and gearbox settings, a front splitter and new rear wing, the pack raises the top speed to 174bhp.
