Vardy plans car supermarket 12 | 12 | 2012

SCOTLAND'S FASTEST-GROWING company, Peter Vardy, is to open a new used car supermarket in Glasgow. The six-acre site in Hillington is scheduled to open in the second half of 2013.

In addition to a showroom capable of displaying 400 used cars — ranging in price from £3,000 to £30,000 — indoors, the site will also be home to the group's new head office.

The news comes just days after Peter Vardy confirmed it had acquired the Land Rover, Porsche and Jaguar franchises in Aberdeen.

The new marques join BMW, Mini, Vauxhall and VXR which the group already represented across Scotland.

Established six years ago by Peter Vardy, son of Sir Peter Vardy and grandson of Reg Vardy, the group has committed itself to further expansion.
