Jaguar to build 4x4 XF and XJ 16 | 08 | 2012
JAGUAR IS TO FIT four-wheel-drive systems to its a new range XF and XJ models. But, considering the cars will be built at Jaguar's Castle Bromwich, starting in October, none of the cars will go on sale in the UK.
Despite the bad winters, allied to record levels of rainfall over the past few years, Jaguar says the cars definitely won't come to the UK: at least, not in the 2013 model year.
Sadly, Jaguar's business decision does make sense: less than 5% of luxury saloons sold in the UK are fitted with four-wheel drive.
So instead, the AWD Jags will head for North America, Russia, China and continental Europe. It's believed three-quarters will be sold in the US.
