New Honda Jazz e:HEV flagship 12 | 11 | 2021

HONDA HAS INTRODUCED a new flagship trim-level for its Jazz e:HEV. Based EX Style, the newcomer starts from £24,845 and comes complete with more technology, plus a number of cosmetic styling tweaks. (Related: MG ZS EV facelift on-sale)

In terms of additional new equipment, the EX Style gains a blind-spot monitoring system and a parking camera, both which supplement Honda’s suite of “Sensing” safety equipment. In terms of styling, the new model has a contrasting black roof, plus black replacements for the hatchback’s  rear spoiler, side body mouldings and mirror caps.

Inside the cabin, the changes are less noticeable: while there’s the same nine-inch infotainment system as the EX trim, in the EX Style it also includes an integrated sat-nav system.

Available only with Honda’s e:HEV hybrid powertrain — which mates a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors and a compact lithium-ion battery pack, delivering a combined 108bhp and 253Nm of torque — the EX Style returns a claimed 62.8mpg and emits 102g/CO2 o the WLTP cycle. Power is fed via an innovative fixed-gear transmission.
