Mini Countryman Boardwalk Edition 10 | 12 | 2020

MINI HAS REVEALED a new limited edition of its Countryman: the Boardwalk Edition. Just 325 units will be built, with first deliveries scheduled for January. Available to order now, prices start from £31,600. (Related: Mini Countryman JCW gets facelift)

Like any ‘limited edition’, the Boardwalk gets a number of styling upgrades. These include the Deep Laguna Blue metallic paint finish — first seen on the Mini Sidewalk Edition — which is contrasted against the black roof; more gloss black for the roof rails, grille and headlamp surrounds; plus impressively-sized 19in alloys.

There’s also new Boardwalk logos on the rear half of the passenger roof, indicators and treadplates. There’s another inside the cabin below the passenger's left air vent. (Related: Mini Countryman gets 2020 facelift)

And it’s the interior which benefits most from being a limited edition. The cabin now gains a full leather interior, heated seats, a full digital instrument cluster, climate control, illuminated door handles, LED mood lighting and Mini logo puddle lamps. Buyers can choose the Boardwalk in two guises. Either the £31,600 Countryman Cooper, which is powered by the 135bhp 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine; or the 189bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder Countryman Cooper S. The latter costs from £35,550. The ’S’ also covers 0-62mph in 7.5-seconds, and carries on to a top speed of 140mph.
