The most noticeable changes outside the car include new 16- or 17-inch alloys, Union Jack-branded LED tail lights, updated badging and a reworked grille. Buyers now also have the option of set of glare-free Matrix LED headlights. These automatically adapt their brightness according to traffic conditions.

According to Mini, they give drivers increased headlight range — similar to that of conventional high-beam headlights — while avoiding any dazzle effect for oncoming road users. (Related: Scots Mini dealer named No1 in UK)

Inside the cabin, the standard equipment for the new Clubman includes satnav, Real Time Traffic Information, Apple CarPlay and a 6.5-inch infotainment system. Mini-branded puddling lights, illuminated door handles and customisable ambient lighting are also now standard.
