Audi reveals A4 Black Edition 26 | 05 | 2017

AUDI HAS REVEALED its new Black Edition A4, in both Avant and saloon forms. The new range-topping trim, which ushers in an equipment boost for the whole of the A4 range, is available to order now from Scottish dealerships priced from £32,350. (Related: Roadtest — Audi A5 Cabriolet 2.0TDI S tronic)

With several styling upgrades, the Black Edition A4 range includes 19-inch five-arm rotor alloy wheels in a matt titanium finish (18in black wheels are a no-cost option).

There’s also black surrounds for the windows, air intakes,  door mirrors and front grille, plus black side skirts and a rear spoiler. The range also gets tinted, noise-reducing acoustic side window glass as standard.

The Black Edition is available on every engine variant in the A4 range, bar the S4, Audi has also added £550 worth of new equipment to SE spec cars and above.

As a result, A4s now get Audi's connect Safety and Service system as standard, using the onboard 4G connection to allow emergency call, roadside assistance and service request functions to be activated via a panel on the roof.

In addition, Sport models get heated leather seats, an upgraded steering wheel, and a larger seven-inch driver info display, though the Virtual Cockpit is still optional. The S line spec now gets leather and Alcantara upholstery, rather than the usual leather and cloth, plus seat heating.

And apart from the A1, Audi has added cruise control and rear parking sensors as standard across every model in its range. Audi’s optional equipment packs have also been updated to provide greater value.
