Skoda Kodiaq to start at £21,495 17 | 10 | 2016

SKODA’S NEW KODIAQ SUV, which can be ordered at Scottish dealerships from next month, with first deliveries next April, will start from £21,495 for the five-seat version. Buyers requiring seven-seats will have to spend £2000 more.

The cheapest version of the Kodiaq SUV, the S fitted with a 1.4TSI 125PS engine, doesn’t have the third row seats. Nor does the SE trim, which costs from £22,945, unless buyers specify a £1000 option for seven seats.

The high-spec SE-L trim does get seven seats as standard, as does the new range-topping designation, Edition, which starts at £30,695.

Standard on the Edition — created to showcase the Kodiaq’s range of equipment — are 19in alloys, seven seats, leather upholstery, metallic paint and chrome roof rails.

Technology features include Lane Assist, High Beam Assist, wireless charging and phone box, and Blind spot detection.

This is all in addition to the dual-zone climate control, powered tailgate, sat-nav with wifi and full LED headlights found on the SE-L.

The engine range will start with the 1.4TSI 125PS, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox; include a 1.4TSI 150PS, and top-out with the 2.0TSI 180PS.

    The 1.4TSI 150PS will be available as a six-speed manual with 4WD (from £25,445); a DSG 6spd auto (from £25,245), or DSG 6spd auto with 4WD (from £26,745). The 2.0TSI 180PS gets a seven-speed DSG, plus 4WD as standard.
