Scots mum scoops new car 22 | 07 | 2014

A SCOTS MUM of two is celebrating after a winning a brand new car from Motorpoint. Caroleanne Jordan, from Cranhill in Glasgow, beat off competition from hundreds of other people from across the city to win a Ford Fiesta 1.5 TDCi Style worth £15,000. The prize was part of Motorpoint's 10th Anniversary celebrations.

Jordan, who works for the Greater Glasgow & Clyde NHS, took part in a special event at Motorpoint Glasgow on Hamilton Road in Mount Vernon hosted by DJ Mark Martin and other members of the Clyde 1 team.

“I can’t believe I’ve won,” she admitted. “I’m the unluckiest person I know. I’ve never even got a couple of numbers on the lottery. So to go from that to win a brand new car from Motorpoint is quite incredible.

“When I got to there and saw all the other people I thought – I don’t stand a chance. I was tempted to turn around and go home, but my daughter Chloe said you’re here now, go for it – you’ve got nothing to lose. I'm really glad I listened to her. ”

“I really can’t believe I’ve won a car, and one in red, which is my favourite colour," she beamed. "I’ve always wanted a new car but I’ve never been able to buy one. I can’t thank Motorpoint enough!”

And Jordan's good fortune was celebrated by Adam Gilmore, general manager (pictured with Caroleanne Jordan) at Motorpoint Glasgow.

"I'm absolutely thrilled for Caroleanne and hope she enjoys driving her brand new Ford Fiesta from Motorpoint.”

Motorpoint has been instrumental in transforming the way in which Scottish motorists have bought their cars since opening its doors a decade ago.

Its’ tireless campaign to wrestle control from the manufacturers and their dealer networks, and create a simple and straightforward transparent pricing policy, has helped customers save well over £250m off the recommended retail price during the last decade.

During that time Motorpoint also entered the record books when it became the first car supermarket to sell a vehicle to every postal code area in Scotland. To date, Motorpoint has sold almost 45,000 cars from its seven-acre site next to the M74.
