RAC Cars targets Scots dealers 29 | 07 | 2014

RAC CARS IS targeting the appointment of more Scottish dealers at a seminar-style event to be held at The Hilton, Edinburgh Airport, on Wednesday, August 6.

The event, which is designed to help appoint more dealers to the RAC Approved Network, will explain in detail the benefits and responsibilities of working in partnership with the RAC

“The event will give both the RAC and prospective Approved Dealers the opportunity to get to know each other with a view to identifying particular candidates to join the RAC network," Mario Dolcezza, head of dealer propositions at the RAC,

"We are committed to connecting our members and other consumers who are looking to purchase a used car with the very best dealers.

"RAC Approved is the highest distinction that we offer to dealers and allows them to make extensive use of the RAC brand, feature on the RAC’s one-million-hits-a-month web site, and to access the support of the RAC with a wide range of marketing initiatives involving our 20 million-strong customer database.

“Typically, dealers who meet our standards see increased margin retention of around £100 per car, a warranty sales uplift of 30% and their potential catchment area increase by a fifth. There is a compelling overall argument for quality dealers to become RAC Approved."

According to Dolcezza, the growth of the RAC dealer network in Scotland is being bolstered by the appointment of a new, three-strong support team who will work with the newly-appointed RAC Approved Dealers and help them to develop their profile.

“Our existing presence in Scotland needs improving," he continued, "in order to meet customer interest in initiatives such as RAC BuySure and we are committed to ensuring that dealers get the support from us that they would rightly expect.”
