McLaren to open in Scotland 23 | 04 | 2014

    McLAREN IS TO OPEN its first retail centre in Scotland. The new McLaren Glasgow will be operated by Park’s Motor Group.

    The centre — which will become the fourth in the UK, joining London, Birmingham and Manchester, and only the 19th in Europe — will offer the full range of servicing and sales, including the recently launched McLaren 650S Coupe (pictured) and 650S Spider models.

    Based at the Group's Bothwell Road facilities in in Hamilton, construction of the state-of-the-art showroom will be completed end of the year. An official opening is planned for December.

    In the meantime, from the end of May Park's will provide a temporary facility for sales and aftersales.

    “We are really excited and proud to join the McLaren family and represent the brand in Scotland," Ross Park, Director at Park’s Motor Group said today.

    The plans for the new Scottish McLaren centre were also welcomed by David Brimson, European Director for McLaren Automotive.

    "The addition of McLaren Glasgow to the retail network is another key step in our growth plan in Europe," Brimson said.

    "Park’s Motor Group is joining us with strong knowledge and experience and is a leading name in the luxury cars market.”

    Today's news of the latest expansion of Park's Motor Group comes soon after it opened its new Maserati dealership in Hamilton.

    Park's Motor Group — a private family-owned business — already represents a comprehensive range of manufacturers including Bentley, BMW, Land Rover, Jaguar, Mini, Volvo, Honda, Fiat, Nissan, Renault, Skoda, Saab and Suzuki. In addition, it's also Scotland's only Overfinch dealer.
