Renault Twizy to cost £6690 16 | 05 | 2011

RENAULT HAS confirmed its electric Twizy will be priced from £6690, when it goes on sale in Scotland next year. Available in two specifications – entry-level Urban and £7400 Technic – both of which are powered by the same 17bhp electric motor, the ‘heavy quadricycle’ will have a top speed of 50mph and range of 62 miles, according to Renault.

On top of the purchase price, customers also pay £40 in battery leasing charges for a 36 month/4500 miles per year agreement.

Standard equipment for The entry-level version includes immobiliser, water resistant upholstery, driver’s airbag, regenerative braking system and ‘anti-submarining front seat.’ as standard equipment

Technic adds carbonfibre graphics, ‘Diamond black’ alloys, and metallic paint. Scissors doors with translucent lower half and a transparent roof can also be chosen as options.
