First glimpse of new Verso-S  01 | 09 | 2010

AHEAD OF the Paris Motor Show later this month, Toyota has unveiled images of its new Verso-S mini-MPV. Set to be launched across its Scottish dealership network early next year, more details of the car will be revealed on September 30.

Within Toyota, the Verso-S is seen as something of a niche model; therefore, as you would expect, Toyota plans for the model to carry a price premium over its main rivals in the B-segment such as the Kia Venga. It's also very likely the next generation Yaris will include a number of styling cues from the Verso-S.

Less than four metres long, it's claimed to have a “practical, flexible interior which has maximised usable space, comfort and perceived quality”. Well, that's what Toyota say.

Paris will also see the Japanese giant celebrate 10 years of its hybrid technology and will make its Hybrid Synergy Drive the focus of its stand. There will be a European debut for its FT-CH Concept, a small, full hybrid for the compact car segment.
